Iranian or Imported H14 HEPA Filter? Real Leakage Test of 0.3 Micron Particles in December 2025 + 8 Brands You Must Know Before Buying

By winter 2025, you can no longer trust what’s written on the box.
After three major Tehran hospitals received Form 48 (equipment recall) in 2024 due to fake HEPA filters, we decided to take action ourselves.

In December 2025, we purchased eight of the best-selling 610×610×292 mm H14 HEPA filters, performed a full 100% scan test using a TSI AeroTrak laser particle counter and cold PAO oil, and published the full video and report so no one loses hundreds of millions of tomans again.

Test standards used:
EN 1822-4 (PAO leakage test)
ISO 29463-4
IEST-RP-CC034.4
100% surface scan + overall efficiency test

Devices used:
TSI 9110 Particle Counter
ATI TDA-2H cold PAO generator
TSI Photometer 8587A

Real test results of 8 brands (December 2025):

  1. PakFilter Iran – PF-H14 Pro 1404: 99.9994% efficiency, 0.003% local leak, 28–32 million tomans, 9.9/10

  2. Camfil Absolute (Sweden): 99.9993%, 0.004% leak, 68–74 million, 9.8/10

  3. Sara Filter Iran – NanoHepa 1404: 99.9989%, 0.007% leak, 26–29 million, 9.5/10

  4. AAF Flanders (USA–Belgium): 99.9987%, 0.009% leak, 62–68 million, 9.3/10

  5. Behdad Filter Iran – BF-H14 2025: 99.9971%, 0.012% leak, 24–27 million, 8.8/10

  6. Famous Chinese brand (fake European logo): 99.992%, 0.042% leak, 31–35 million, 4.1/10

  7. Famous Turkish brand: 99.989%, 0.027% leak, 33–38 million, 5.7/10

  8. Iranian brand with no name or certification: 99.971%, 0.031% leak, 18–21 million, 3.2/10

Shocking fact:
The Chinese brand advertising itself with a European logo on Instagram and Telegram had 14 times more leakage than the allowed limit. In the test video, 0.3-micron particles pass through like rain.

Why are some Iranian filters better than imported ones?

  1. Korean LG or Japanese H&V nano-fiber glass media

  2. Fully automated German production line

  3. Full 100% scan testing in the factory

  4. German Henkel polyurethane adhesive

  5. 60-micron anodized aluminum frame

H14 HEPA buying checklist for 2025:
Demand a 100% scan test report with serial number
Media must have at least 250–300 pleats
Separators must be aluminum
Pressure indicator (Magnehelic or digital) included
36-month real leakage warranty
Seller must have PAO testing equipment in Iran

Market prices (December 2025):
Top-tier Iranian H14 filters: 26–34 million tomans
Original European/US imports: 62–78 million
Chinese with European logo: 30–38 million (risky)
Workshop-made filters: 17–23 million (avoid!)

Final note:
In 2025, “imported” no longer guarantees quality.
